UK Prime Minister David Cameron cut his holiday short to condemn the shocking development.

The Pentagon says the US carried out, but failed in a secret mission, to save American journalists, including James Foley who was recently beheaded by jihadists. The executioner in the Islamic State video, apparently showing Foley’s killing, appears to be a British citizen.
