Now, Cleric Abu Hamza Calls For Muslim Wives To "LAUGH OFF" Rape.

Beleaguered Australian cleric Abu Hamza came under fire again for his radical views on rape when his website claimed that Muslim wives could "laugh off" unwanted sex and rape could be confused with simply having a pushy husband.

In response to the sex-on-demand and wife smacking controversy sparked by Hamza's lectures, his Islamic Information and Services Network of Australasia website published an article saying the media had no right to question his marital teachings.

But the article on Hamza's IISNA website suggested a Muslim wife could choose to "laugh off" sex without consent or that spousal rape was hard to define and could just be a case of being married to a "pushy husband".

"If a husband enters upon his wife in a manner she does not approve, she might go as far as to contact the police and accuse him of rape or accept it with laughter and embarrassment, " the Daily Telegraph quoted the article, as saying stated.

Although Hamza would not take further questions on his views, the response on his IISNA website suggested Muslim wives defined rape differently to non-Muslim women.

"The relation between husband and wife - any husband and wife - is an exclusive and closed union, meaning their relationship can only be intervened upon the request or intent of one of the spouses, no-one else has the right to interrupt them," the article said.

"So if a Muslim couple agrees to live their life by Islamic teachings, then they are completely free to do so in the privacy of their home".

PVV: Hate Preacher Must Leave Country Or Go To Prison

The Islamic preacher Khalid Yasin must immediately leave the Netherlands is the opinion of Sietse Fritsma, member of the Party For Freedom, (PVV) from Geert Wilders.

Fritsma said this after the sheik made the remark on an Islamic University in Rotterdam.

In a speech Yasin said that Geert Wilders should be whipped for insulting Islam.

Fritsma wants the Muslim mayor of Rotterdam, Ahmed Aboutaleb, to stop the American imam from having a speech on Sunday in a mosque.
"It is obvious that this hate preacher calls for violence, he has to leave the Netherlands as soon as possible or go to prison." Fritsma says.

Minister of Justice, Ernst Hirsch Ballin, answered questions of several parties about the controversial imam this week. His conclusion was that there were no reasons to stop Yasin from visiting the Netherlands.
Fritsma said that the circumstances now has changed since the hate preacher made his violent remark.

Controversial Imam Can Speak In Holland

The controversial imam Khalid Yasin can give a number of speeches in the Netherlands over the next few days but will be prosecuted if he incites hatred, the NRC reports on Thursday.

The Paper says justice minister Ernst Hirsch Ballin (also known from the "IRT affaire") has told MPs that Yasin cannot be refused entry unless he is a danger to national security or public order. Yasin, a convert to Islam, was born in the US and does not need a visa.

In the past the imam has reportedly said homosexuals should be killed, that AIDS was invented by the west and deliberately injected into Africans under the guise of vaccinations, and that Muslims cannot have non-Muslim friends.

Hirsch Ballin told MPs that the Netherlands respects the right to freedom of speech as long as legal boundaries are observed, the paper said.

"The government can only intervene if there is incitement to hatred. If that is the case in this instance, or if prosecution would be opportune, depends on the judgment of the public prosecution department," the NRC quoted the minister as saying.

Islamic Cleric Advises Worshippers to RAPE AND BEAT WIVES

An Australian cleric has provoked outrage by telling worshippers it is acceptable for men to rape and beat their wives.
Self-styled cleric Samir Abu Hamza, who runs the Islamic Information and Services Network of Australasia in Melbourne, advised a male audience in Sydney in 2003 that they could force their wives to have sex and beat them if they were "disobedient"

In a lecture titled "The Keys to a Successful Marriage", which has since been posted on the internet and viewed thousands of times, Mr Hamza said men could beat their wives, "to shape them up", but should try not to draw blood or bruise them.

He also said women "must respond" if their husbands wanted to have sex, and ridiculed laws that prohibit rape within marriage.

"In this country if the husband wants to sleep with his wife and she does not want to and she hasn't got a sickness or whatever, there is nothing wrong with her she just does not feel like it, and he ends up sleeping with her by force...it is known to be as rape," Mr Hamza said.

"Amazing, how can a person rape his wife?" His comments have been condemned by Islamic women's groups and Kevin Rudd, the prime minister, has called for an immediate public apology.
"Under no circumstances is sexual violence permissible or acceptable in Australia," he said.

However, Mr Hamza, whose organisation offers spiritual advice, prayer facilities and boxing, karate and gym classes for Muslims, has refused to retract his statements.

In the sermon Mr. Hamza initially tells his listeners "don't hit your wife".

But he goes on to detail how men should hit their wives, according to his interpretation of Islamic teachings.

He says it is permissible to hit women as a "last resort" but that "the beating that Mohammed showed is like the toothbrush that you use to brush your teeth".

"You are not allowed to bruise them, you are not allowed to make them bleed."

"You don't go and grab a broomstick and say that is what Allah has said."

Ramzi Elsayed, Islamic Council of Victoria state president, said Islam did not condone violence against women or making a wife have sex with her husband against her will.

Bakri, 50, declared: "We are obliged as Muslims to make the whole galaxy subservient to almighty Allah. Allah has created all living beings in order to obey him and worship him."
